Hardcore Homicide — In Development

“Hardcore Homicide” is an open-world murder-mystery video game in which the player takes on the role of an FBI agent sent to the tiny, rural town of Cornucopia, Maine to catch an active serial killer.

Explore a seemingly cozy town where a growing darkness festers below the surface. Take notes and make genuine deductions and inductions in a game that refuses to hold your hand or spell things out. Gather evidence and question the locals, but be careful who you trust. Unravel a twisted narrative with several endings and a high degree of freedom and choice — 100% handcrafted, no procedural generation or randomization and certainly no AI slop.

Every location within the town can be fully explored and every resident can be questioned with a complex branching dialogue system. Your choices all matter, including how you choose to spend your time. The more days that pass while you search for the killer, the more bodies will pile up, so exercise discretion when deciding where to investigate and who to interrogate.

The devlog below covers the early stages of development. A significant amount of progress has been made in the months since, and a second devlog will follow with more details on the process.
